IT’S TIME FOR
NASCOE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS


Applications are available on-line at www.nascoe.org and must be submitted by
February 5, 2009.  There
is a Scholarship Program Booklet on the site with information about the scholarships; eligibility, evaluation
criteria and the judging process. Also, be sure to submit everything that is required. Financial information
from the parents is no longer required.  Official high school/college transcript should be provided to the
applicant by the school for submission with the application.  Letters of recommendation must be signed by
the person writing the letter.  All required signatures must be on the application when received.  PLEASE
REVIEW THE BOOKLET BEFORE SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS!  Missing information/signatures will
cause the application to be ineligible for ranking.


There will be 3 Scholarships awarded:  1st place = $2000, 2nd place = $1500 and 3rd place = $1000.


Completed applications (the original and 5 copies) in HARD COPY signed by the applicant and their
parent or guardian should be mailed (no FAX) to:  Suzanne Murray, c/o Nash County FSA Office, 1006
Eastern Avenue, Room 103, Nashville, NC  27856.  No FSA envelopes or postage allowed.    


Very Important Note:  Prior to submission, be sure to have Martha Mills, State Secretary,
certify the NASCOE member’s eligibility on page 1 of the Scholarship Application.  You
may want to do this early in the process, prior to all that paperwork!
